Will NATO deliver at the Summit in Madrid?

In a NATO joint press point released by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, the allies avowed,  “We will agree [on] a Comprehensive Assistance Package to Ukraine to help them uphold the right for self-defence. It is extremely important that we are ready to continue to provide support because Ukraine now faces brutality which we haven’t seen in Europe since the Second World War. ”

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov posted about the thousands of Ukrainian defenders who are training abroad to master modern Western weapons. Mr Reznikov pointed out that, “Ukrainian fighters learn quickly and any weapon in the hands of our Armed Forces becomes even more effective. We are learning. We learn quickly. We will quickly master aviation and other types of high-tech weapons.”

Now abroad, Ukrainian military specialists are acquiring capacity to operate M777 155-mm artillery systems, Crab anti-aircraft guns, M142 HIMARS, M270 and MARS II multiple rocket launchers.
