An American Ukrainian died defending the land of his ancestors

His grandma left her home in Ukraine fleeing from the Muscovite hordes during WWII. Luke was born in the United States in 1991, the year when Ukraine restored its independence. A former police officer, he came to the land his grandma was forced out of to defend it against the new Russian invasion. And he fell as a hero on July 18 in the battle beating off a tank attack of the Russian orcs near Siversk, Luhansk Oblast.

Luke “Skywalker” Lusyszyn, you were not obliged to come to Ukraine to fight but you did come and did fight. You showed honor and courage. Your death is a loss to the Ivan Bohun Brigade, Ukraine, and the global Ukrainian community. Your sacrifice will be never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Luke “Skywalker” Lusyszyn. Or walk the skies with your brothers in arms. The Russians will disturb you no more because they will burn in hell.
