Mr. Poticzny holds a Masters degree in Engineering and an MBA, both from University of Toronto.
Mr. Poticzny is President of Zhoda 2001 and Director of Zhoda Investments whose shares are traded in Sweden. Zhoda invests in selected unlisted European ventures and has now projects related to oil and gas in Ukraine and wineries in Croatia.
In Ukraine it has currently projects with Ukrnafta and Chornomornaftogas.
He has written several reports and publications relating to oil sands and bitumen extraction processes.
In 2019 he has been re-elected as President of Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. CUCC is a non-profit association involved in establishing and fostering Canada-Ukraine bilateral business relations.
Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce is recognized by all levels of government in Canada and Ukraine, by the business community in both countries and by the public in general as the facilitator agency of choice for establishing, maintaining, and monitoring bilateral business relations, trade, and investment opportunities between Canada and Ukraine.
Presently, CUCC jointly with Conference Board of Canada is managing a $13.6 million CUTIS (Canada Ukraine Trade and Investment Support) project, sponsored by Canadian government.
In 2009, Zenon Poticzny has been awarded the Order of Merit, Class III, from President of Ukraine.
Presently, Zenon is also a VP of Operations in Ukrainian World Congress and a Board member of Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of Canada.
