The Ukrainian community in the United States and other countries can meaningfully support Ukraine through everyday actions that may seem small at first glance, Andriy Futey, Third Vice President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), said in an interview with Slawa TV.
“Before going to sleep, ask yourself: what did I do for Ukraine today? If you called your congressman a few times, you’re already doing everything you can,” Futey said.
According to him, even simple steps such as taking part in local Ukrainian community activities, contacting lawmakers or countering disinformation can influence U.S. foreign policy and international support for Ukraine.
“Millions of Ukrainians abroad can preserve their national identity and become a proactive force in supporting the country,” Futey said.
The conversation also touched on the role of the global Ukrainian community in preserving national identity and uniting people around a shared goal.
