Italian forum in Rome to bring together Ukrainian organizations

The Saint Sophia Cathedral on July 12 in Italy will host the Forum of Ukrainians in Italy — the first assembly of Ukrainian community organizations in the country since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

A coalition of organizations jointly held the event: the Ukrainian World Congress, the Christian Association of Ukrainians in Italy, the Lastivka Association, the Association of Ukrainian Women Workers in Italy, and NAU — the Network of Associations for Ukraine.

The forum seeks to bring together Ukrainian organizations from across Italy to launch a new chapter of “our work, unity, and shared responsibility to future generations,” the organizers said.

“At this critical time for Ukraine, as its future hangs in the balance, we must act together — consciously and in coordination. We invite all patriotic Ukrainian communities to send representatives to the Forum — to help build a united, organized, and influential Ukrainian community that can act effectively and respond to today’s challenges,” the organizers said.

The event will serve as a platform to coordinate joint efforts — above all, to support Ukraine’s victory and recovery, and to strengthen the Ukrainian community in Italy. It also seeks to deepen cooperation with institutions that support Ukrainian life abroad, including Ukrainian diplomatic missions, churches, and the Ukrainian World Congress.

Distinguished partners of the forum are the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, the Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainian Catholics of the Byzantine Rite in Italy, and the Cathedral of Saint Sophia in Rome.

“The Forum is not just a chance to gather — it’s a historic step toward united action built on trust and a shared vision,” organizers said.

The forum’s motto is: “Let us unite in action today — for Ukraine’s victory and its European future tomorrow!”

If you represent a Ukrainian community in Italy, please register your representatives by July 1 using the registration form at the link provided.
