McFaul-Yermak plan for sanctions against Russia 45% fulfilled

Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak stated that the working group’s recommendations on sanctions against the Russian aggressor have been fulfilled by forty five percent.  Mr Yermak noted that the European Union had approved the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions, all proposals of the McFaul-Yermak Plan.  “We do not stop there – a lot of work ahead,” Mr Yermak wrote on Telegram.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged the EU to adopt a seventh sanctions package as soon as possible because “Russia still aims to fight until the last Russian in Ukraine.”

According to Mr Kuleba, “The list is based on the McFaul-Yermak plan in three areas. The first is new sectoral sanctions in the fields of energy, finance and trade. The second is a roadmap for new personal sanctions against Russian oligarchs, officials and heads of state. The third is the closure of already identified loopholes to circumvent and evade sanctions.”
