One United Fundraiser in Chicago and Washington: Come support Ukraine

As part of its North American tour, the One United Fundraiser 2026 will hold charity events in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Gabriel Institute, and in Chicago on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Eventus Hall.

The tour aims to support the protection of Ukrainian civilians, cities, and energy infrastructure from attacks by Russian Shahed drones. These gatherings will bring together the Ukrainian community, civil society leaders, and defense experts to discuss modern threats to Ukraine’s civilian population, strategies to counter drone attacks, and the critical role of international support in securing Ukraine’s skies.

Speakers include Serhiy Prytula, founder of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, and Major Volodymyr Horodnychyi, senior officer of the Civil-Military Cooperation unit of the 412th “Nemesis” Brigade.

In Chicago, the panel will also feature Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress, with Mariya Dmytriv-Kapeniak, President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) Illinois Division, serving as moderator.

The events are part of a broader tour across Canada and the U.S. covering eight North American cities with the goal of raising funds to purchase “smart” interceptor drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These systems are designed to neutralize enemy Shahed drones, which Russia has been using extensively against civilian targets.

Organized under the Unite with Ukraine initiative of the Ukrainian World Congress, in partnership with the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation and the 412th “Nemesis” Brigade, “One United Fundraiser” has already become the largest defense fundraiser since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Organizers invite Ukrainians in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and friends of Ukraine to attend, support the fundraiser, and contribute to defending Ukraine’s skies.

Tickets and donations are available at unitewithukraine.com/one-united-fundraiser. Detailed information about the tour and participation can also be found on the website.
