On Sunday, February 25, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), Paul Grod, spoke on the air of the leading Ukrainian TV channel “1+1” as part of the “United News” telethon.
The UWC President spoke about the importance of Ukraine’s voice today and how Ukrainians can stand united, precisely when the UWC united Ukrainians from more than 45 countries and 300 cities in rallies in connection with the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale aggression in the 9-year-long war.
“If we want to receive economic, military, and sanctions support, it is imperative to not only take to the streets but also to enter politicians’ offices and work with the press so that the support of civil society remains strong until we win,” said Paul Grod. – “Ukraine has shown that Russia is not such a huge tiger or bear and that Ukraine can defend itself.”
Mr. Grod also discussed his last week’s plea to the UN to create a special war crimes tribunal for Russia. The UWC President also touched on forced Ukrainian migrants and why the world takes Kyiv’s opinion seriously.
Earlier, on February 24, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress delivered a speech during a pro-Ukrainian rally near the UN building in New York, USA.
