In the wake of Russia’s new massive missile strike at Ukraine on Wednesday, Poland’s minister of national defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, approached Germany with a suggestion that the Patriot battery Germany had proposed for Poland be given instead to Ukraine, according to a tweet by the Polish minister.
“After the further missile attacks by Russia, I turned to the German party to have the Patriot battery proposed for Poland transferred to Ukraine and deployed at the western border. This will allow for protecting Ukraine from further victims and a blackout and will increase security at our eastern border,” Błaszczak wrote.
