President Zelenskyy: There must be maximum integrity in the energy sector

“I believe that the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Energy cannot remain in office,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a traditional address to the Ukrainian nation on Nov. 12.

Today, I had a detailed conversation with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko. First – there must be maximum integrity in the energy sector, in absolutely all processes. And I support – we support – every investigation carried out by law enforcement and anti-corruption officials, and this is an absolutely clear and consistent position for everyone. No schemes, and it is good that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will provide full support to the investigation and all procedural and judicial actions. There will be a cleansing and reset of Energoatom’s management.
