The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) has published a children’s book with military propaganda. The book tells about military service, “enemies of Russia,” and absolution for death in war. The 288-page manual is titled “Living – Serving the Fatherland.”
The description states that the book’s sayings “teach how to treat the Fatherland,” “tune in to military routines and strengthen the will to win.”
“Glory to the Russian army! Blessed be the memory of the ascetics of the Fatherland who sacrificed their courage, art, and lives for it,” the book says.
In addition, the book quotes St. Macarius of Optina as saying that one should not be afraid to die in the war, as these people will receive absolution of their sins. The publication is available in the Children’s Books section.
Pavlo Sadokha, UWC Vice-President and President of the Union of Ukrainians in Portugal, believes that the Russians are preparing entire generations to destroy the world with such propaganda.
“The terrorist sect ‘Russian Orthodox Church’ has published a children’s book with war propaganda. In particular, there are sections: “any power is from God” or “about the enemies of our homeland.” So, Muscovites continue to prepare generations for the complete destruction of the world. The world that cannot understand that the main threat of the Russians is not atomic bombs, but their culture of killing,” Sadokha emphasized.
The Russian Church supports Russia’s war against Ukraine. Last year, Moscow Patriarch Kirill told believers that death in the war against Ukraine “washes away all sins.”
