Police officers of the occupation authorities intimidate residents in Luhansk Oblast and force them to obtain Russian passports. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation arrived in the captured territories recently, the National Resistance Center of Ukraine (NRC) reports.
“In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk Oblast, the presence of employees of the regional migration departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation was observed. These “tourists” threaten residents,” NRC added.
Russians claim it will be impossible to work, study and receive medical care in the temporarily occupied territories without a Russian passport.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, forced naturalization continues in Kherson Oblast. The occupiers threaten, particularly, Nova Kakhovka residents with mobilization and expropriation of their property for refusing Russian documents.
Earlier, Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, stated that forced naturalization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is an extreme violation of international law.
