Members of the Ukrainian community in London held a public demonstration in the city center, urging residents and visitors to avoid shopping at companies that continue to operate in Russia and pay taxes there.
During the protest, activists singled out brands such as Agent Provocateur, Brunello Cucinelli, and luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, which maintain a presence in the Russian market. They stressed that the taxes these companies pay contribute to the budget of the aggressor state and indirectly help fund the war against Ukraine.
The demonstration took place on London’s main shopping streets. Activists displayed informational posters, shared facts about the brands’ operations in Russia, and spoke with passersby who stopped to learn more about the reasons behind the protest.
Organizers emphasized that, despite the ongoing full-scale war, these companies continue to operate stores in Russia and profit from the Russian market, putting business interests ahead of human lives.
The Ukrainian community urged consumers to make responsible choices, especially during the Christmas shopping season, and to avoid supporting companies that, through their business activities, help fund aggression against Ukraine.
