UWC congratulates Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi on his re-election as head of UUR

The Ukrainian World Congress congratulates Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi and the leadership of the Union of Ukrainians in Romania (UUR) on the successful holding of the Congress and the re-election of Mr. Petretskyi as the head of the UUR.

“I want to convey my hearty congratulations to you and the newly elected leadership of the Union of Ukrainians of Romania (UUR) after the 9th Congress held in Bucharest on October 21-22. Your re-election to the position of the Chairman of the UUR is a testimony of your dedication and the trust that the Ukrainian community in Romania places in you,” said UWC President Paul Grod.

The Ukrainian World Congress is confident that under the leadership of Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi, together with the newly appointed team, UUR will continue to flourish and increase its achievements in popularizing the rich cultural heritage and historical values of the Ukrainian community in Romania.

Mr. Petretskyi’s constant efforts deserve recognition. “I am sure your leadership will inspire positive changes and unity in the Ukrainian community in Romania. I do not doubt that under your steadfast leadership and with the support of dedicated members of the Council, the Union of Ukrainians in Romania will continue to thrive, promoting unity, cultural richness, and mutual understanding in the community. Once again, I congratulate you on the re-election and formation of the new management team. May your joint efforts lead to further success and development of the Ukrainian community in Romania,” Paul Grod concluded.

The Ukrainian World Congress wishes Mr. Petretskyi the best of luck and hopes for continued fruitful cooperation.

During the XII World Congress of Ukrainians (WUC), which took place on Sunday, October 22, the head of the Union of Ukrainians in Romania, a member of the Parliament of Romania, Mykola-Myroslav Petretskyi, was elected vice president for Eastern European affairs (Belarus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Armenia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia) in the Board of Directors of UWC.
