UWC President begins visit to Germany for Munich Security Conference

Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), is embarking on an official visit to Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), taking place from Feb. 13-15, 2026. This year’s forum is marked by an expanded Ukrainian presence at the highest levels of expertise.

A major highlight of the conference will be the opening of the Ukraine House, which will operate for the first time directly within the official MSC security perimeter. The UWC is an official partner of this venue.

Ukraine House will serve as the central hub for all Ukraine-related events. The venue will feature the Liberty Stage for panel discussions, an exhibition area, and spaces for bilateral meetings.

One of the key events involving the UWC will be the panel discussion “Weaponizing Children: How Russia’s Abduction of Ukrainian Children Threatens European Security”, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m. on the Liberty Stage.

Paul Grod will moderate the session. The discussion aims to shift the focus of Russia’s mass abductions and ideological re-education of Ukrainian children from a humanitarian issue to a strategic security challenge for Europe. Participants will explore concrete steps to ensure the immediate return of the children and mitigate risks created by Russian indoctrination.

Confirmed speakers include Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir, Special Envoy on the Situation of Children of Ukraine, Council of Europe; Yevheniia Kravchuk, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament; and representatives from human rights organizations.

The UWC President’s visit will also include meetings with the leadership of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other senior officials to advocate for Ukraine’s interests.

A special part of the visit will be engagement with the Ukrainian community. On Sunday, Feb. 15, at 12:00 p.m., Grod will hold a session titled “Inside the Munich Security Conference: What Ukraine Needs to Win.” He will share the outcomes of his meetings and highlight key signals Ukraine received from international partners during the forum.
