Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod called on Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine around the world to support Ukrainian service members not only with words, but with concrete action, on Ukraine’s Day of Defenders on Oct. 1.
In his statement, Grod thanked Ukrainian defenders for their courage and sacrifice, emphasizing that it is because of them that Ukraine continues to fight and millions of Ukrainians can look to the future with hope.
“The greatest way we can express our gratitude today is through action. So I am calling on all Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine around the world: be generous,” the UWC President said.
Grod called on people to support Ukrainian service members through the UWC initiatives Unite With Ukraine and Fight Like a Ukrainian.
Donations provide defenders with drones, medical supplies, protective equipment, and other critically important equipment, he said.
“Every contribution matters. Every donation is a message of gratitude. Every gift is a declaration that those defending Ukraine are not standing alone,” Grod added.
He also called on people to share the statement and encourage their families, friends, and communities to support those defending Ukraine.
“Let us honor Ukraine’s heroes not only with our words, but with our actions. Glory to Ukraine. Glory to her Heroes,” the UWC President said.
