After the previous unsuccessful attempts to capture Soledar, a town some ten miles north-east of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, the Russian troops have regrouped, replenished, redeployed additional assault units, changed their tactics and set to a new powerful assault upon Soledar, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar reported on Monday night, according to Independent and other media.
“The enemy literally step on the corpses of their own soldiers, massively using artillery, MLRS systems and mortars, covering even their own soldiers with fire. Our defenders courageously defend every meter of their native land. The fierce battles are going on right these minutes,” she said.
