On November 19, UWC President Paul Grod held a virtual meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba. The meeting focused on further cooperation between the UWC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the international, educational, humanitarian, investment and economic spheres, as well as on the protection of Ukrainian communities in Russia.
The priorities of UWC and MFA cooperation remain the same: protecting Ukraine from Russian aggression, building an economically prosperous Ukraine on the path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, upholding the rights of Ukrainians abroad and Ukrainian schools abroad, promoting the Ukrainian language, and recognizing the Holodomor genocide of the Ukrainian people from 1932-1933.
Among the important issues, the UWC President and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine touched on the establishing cooperation between the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UWC Economic Prosperity and Investment Committee (EPIC).
“Only through the joint efforts of the Ukrainian diaspora and the Ukrainian state will we be able to strengthen the international coalition in support of Ukraine, promote peace processes and the de-occupation of Crimea, support reforms in Ukraine, and build prosperous Ukrainian communities around the world,” said UWC President Paul Grod.
