Ukrainian community in France supports pro-democratic protests in Georgia

The Ukrainian diaspora in France has expressed its support for rallies in Georgia, advocating for the country’s existence free from Russian influence. A solidarity event was held in Paris in support of the peaceful protesters in Georgia.

“No to Russian law! Yes to European Georgia,” urged participants of the rally in the French capital. “We came out to express Ukrainian support for the people of Georgia. All together – to victory,” wrote Volodymyr Kogutyak, UWC Vice President for Western Europe. Kogutyak addressed the attendees with a speech.

At the support rally, Ukrainian and Georgian flags waved alongside the flag of the European Union – symbols of unity among nations in the pursuit of freedom and democracy.

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) expresses its full support to the people of Georgia, who have taken to the streets to protest against the Georgian parliament’s attempt to adopt a controversial “foreign agents” bill.
