The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), through its Unite with Ukraine initiative in partnership with Saint Javelin, has delivered fifteen advanced combat medic backpacks to the medical teams of the Ukrainian State Security Service (SBU).
Developed in direct collaboration with SBU medics, the backpacks were specifically configured to meet the realities of frontline combat medicine and emergency casualty care in active war zones. The backpacks were configured based on direct feedback from medics actively operating near frontline combat zones.
Each backpack contained a comprehensive range of lifesaving trauma and emergency medical supplies, including CAT Gen 7 tourniquets, SAM Junctional Tourniquets, QuikClot combat gauze, HyFin Vent chest seals, decompression needles, compressed gauze, trauma dressings, SAM splints, thermal casualty blankets, burn treatment kits, airway management kits, supraglottic airways, endotracheal tubes, Ambu bags, oxygen masks, IV infusion sets, IV catheters, saline syringes, emergency medications, laryngoscope handles and blades, trauma shears, diagnostic equipment, and protective medical supplies.
The delivery equips SBU medical teams with advanced trauma response capabilities for frontline evacuation and prolonged field care operations. These kits were designed to help medics treat severe trauma under active combat conditions where rapid intervention saves lives.
“Every piece of equipment delivered through Unite with Ukraine represents tangible support for the people defending Ukraine and saving lives on the front lines,” said Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress. “We remain committed to ensuring Ukrainian defenders and medical personnel have the tools they need to continue their vital work.”
“These backpacks were developed together with SBU medics to ensure they received exactly what they need in the field,” said Andrew Potichnyj, Director of Unite with Ukraine. “This project focused on practical frontline realities, equipping medics with reliable trauma care tools that can make the difference between life and death during the critical first minutes after injury.”
“Saint Javelin was founded to rally global support for Ukraine in meaningful and practical ways,” said Christian Borys, Founder of Saint Javelin. “Supporting frontline medics who risk their lives to save others is exactly the kind of impact we believe in, and we are proud to partner with the Ukrainian World Congress on this initiative.”
The backpacks were carefully assembled and prepared for immediate deployment in support of Ukraine’s defenders.
