The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) expresses condolences to family and friends on the death of a U.S. civilian member of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) killed while fulfilling his duties on the territory of Eastern Ukraine controlled by Russian Federation-backed terrorists.
The tragic event, in which two other SMM members were injured, serves as a reminder of the gravity of the hybrid war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the importance of the OSCE SMM in monitoring the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the international community to pressure the Russian Federation to comply with the terms of the Minsk agreements starting with an immediate ceasefire,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
