The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) has congratulated the Ukrainian community in Spain on the opening of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Valencia, held on Sept.16, hailing it as a milestone for Ukrainians at home and abroad.
“This is a landmark event not only for the Ukrainian community of Valencia, but also for Ukrainians around the world,” UWC President Paul Grod said in a message to Mykhaylo Petrunyak, President of the Federation of Associations of Ukrainians in Spain and the Association of Ukrainians in the Autonomous Community of Valencia.
“I hope this center will become a true space of unity, strength, and cooperation — a place where Ukrainians in Spain can preserve their identity, protect their cultural heritage, build strong ties with Spanish society, and help strengthen Ukraine’s image internationally while bringing closer our Victory,” Grod said.
He also thanked Spain’s government and municipal institutions for supporting the creation of the center, calling it a reflection of “genuine friendship between our peoples.”
Grod concluded by say that “I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Mykhaylo Petrunyak, as well as the dedicated and consistent work of the entire Ukrainian community.”
The UWC president wished the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Valencia every success in fostering friendship and cooperation between Ukraine and Spain for the benefit of both nations.
