On July 17 UWC leaders met with Olha Stefanishyna, new Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. The discussion focused on the key issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, labour migration and further cooperation between the Ukrainian World Congress and the government of Ukraine.

Participants emphasized the historic significance of NATO’s recognition of Ukraine as an Enhanced Opportunities Partner. Ukrainian World Congress continues to advocate for Ukraine and works to strengthen its partners’ network for further collaboration with the EU and NATO.

Stefan Romaniw, First UWC Vice-President, highlighted the importance of consistency of reform in Ukraine. The meeting participants also discussed current challenges of external labour migration raised by the UWC Task Force, in particular defending the rights of labour migrants and creating favourable conditions for their return to the homeland. Parties suggested possible solutions and expressed willingness to work together to overcome the challenges.

“European and Euro-Atlantic integration are priority tasks for UWC. Сivil society actively participates in these processes. The global Ukrainian community will further contribute to building partnerships in support for Ukraine at all levels”, – said Paul Grod, UWC President.
