On 15 June 2017 at the Ukrainian Youth Centre in Montreal, Canada, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij extended greetings during a premiere screening of the documentary film Recovery Room, and particularly to Director Adriana Luhovy, Producer Yurij Luhovy and Script Editor Oksana Rozumna.
The film Recovery Room tells the story of a mission of Canadian plastic surgeons and nurses in the Main Military Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine, to help wounded Ukrainian soldiers who fell victim to the brutal Russian hybrid war.
In 2017, this documentary film, produced under the patronage of the UWC, won four Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards, an IndieFEST award and six Accolade Global Film Competition Awards.
“The Ukrainian World Congress recognizes Director Adriana Luhovy, Producer Yurij Luhovy and all those who contributed to the success of the documentary film Recovery Room, and encourages everyone to view and support this moving film which presents the tragic and heroic pages of the lives of those defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
