UWC President meets with Polish Minister for European Union

Paul Grod, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress, conducted an official visit to Poland, where he held meetings in Warsaw with ministers, diplomats, and members of the Ukrainian community.

During his discussions with Adam Szłapka, the Minister for the European Union of Poland, they talked about supporting Ukraine’s journey towards NATO and EU membership. They also discussed Poland’s aid to Ukraine in its European integration efforts. Grod expressed his gratitude to the Polish government for its support of Kyiv.

The President of the UWC spoke with the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, about the blockade at the Ukrainian border. Zvarych noted that the situation is improving due to vigorous diplomatic efforts and government collaboration.

The primary focus of the discussion between the UWC President and the Ukrainian community centered on crucial advocacy efforts for Ukraine. Paul Grod expressed his gratitude to Myroslav Skirka, the leader of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland, and the organization’s active members for their daily dedication to promoting Ukraine’s interests. For instance, as a tribute to the victims of Russian aggression, a street in front of the Russian embassy in Warsaw was renamed, and “Glory to Ukraine” was inscribed before the embassy.
