UWC president salutes Ukraine’s defenders, praises their courage and global importance

On Saturday, Dec. 6, Ukraine celebrated Armed Forces Day. On the occasion, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) addressed Ukrainians via social media.

Today, on Armed Forces of Ukraine Day, we pay tribute to the heroic men and women who have sacrificed everything to defend their families, their homeland, and the very principles of freedom against Russia’s criminal invasion.

Without their courage, Ukraine would be fully occupied and transformed into a concentration camp and death chamber. These defenders are holding back Russia’s army at the gates of Europe and North America. Their sacrifice prevents the Kremlin from recapturing Eastern Europe and the Baltics and imposing its will through force on all Transatlantic democracies.

Their strength is measured not only in bravery, but in resilience, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to protect what matters most.

To every defender: We thank you and pledge to continue doing everything possible to support you in securing Ukraine’s Victory and Russia’s defeat. Glory to Ukraine! Slava Ukraini!
