A devil’s dozen drones launched by Russia shot down over Kyiv

The Ukrainian air defense shot down 13 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones launched early Wednesday morning onto Kyiv and its oblast by Russians from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov, Ukraine’s Air Force Command reported.

The Kyiv City Military Administration said there were two waves of the attack, according to UNIAN. Fragments of downed drones fell on one administrative and four apartment buildings and also one car in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivsky District, causing minor damages. A private house and a car were also hit in Kyiv’s suburb of Vyshneve. No one was hurt.

Ukrenergo, the national power company, said energy infrastructure facilities did not suffer in the attack “thanks to the brilliant work of the air defense forces.”
