The European Commission has announced its proposals for the 8th package of sanctions against russia due to the escalation of the war. These proposals include the extended lists of sanctioned individuals and products that cannot be exported to russia, new trade restrictions, oil price cap and other sanctions.
According to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, this will keep russian products out of Europe and deprive russia of an additional EUR 7 billion in revenues.
