Toronto, Canada | May 18, 2026 — The Ukrainian World Congress, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Society of Switzerland, today announced Meest as the Presenting Partner of the Global Ukrainian Summit 2026, taking place June 5-7, 2026, in Bern, Switzerland.
The partnership brings together two institutions rooted in the global Ukrainian community: the Ukrainian World Congress, the international voice of Ukrainians worldwide, and Meest, a Ukrainian-founded global logistics company that has played a significant role in connecting diaspora communities with Ukraine.
The Global Ukrainian Summit 2026 will convene Ukrainian and international leaders, policymakers, business representatives, civil society organizations, and community leaders to strengthen coordinated support for Ukraine at a critical moment for the country’s defense, recovery, and global advocacy.
Founded in Toronto in 1989 by Ukrainian businessman Rostyslav Kisil, Meest began as a courier service to Ukraine and has grown into an international logistics company operating in more than 70 countries across North America, Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Meest has delivered more than 900 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and supported humanitarian efforts valued at over USD 1.5 million, while continuing to transport humanitarian cargo from the United States, Canada, and Europe.
“Meest has long understood the power of connection. Whether it is connecting families, communities, businesses, or nations,” said Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress. “With Meest, we believe that standing with Ukraine means coming together as leaders to deliver action that matters.”
Established in 1967, the Ukrainian World Congress is an international non-profit organization representing tens of millions of Ukrainians globally. UWC works to unite Ukrainian communities and organizations worldwide, strengthen international support for Ukraine, defend human rights, and support a democratic, sovereign, and resilient Ukraine. The organization is recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council and holds participatory status with the Council of Europe.
The Global Ukrainian Summit 2026 will serve as a platform for strengthening international partnerships, mobilizing diaspora leadership, and advancing coordinated support for Ukraine’s victory, recovery, and future.
