PACE supports Ukraine’s accession to NATO

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe supported Kyiv’s accession to NATO and the Ukrainian “peace formula”. The members adopted the corresponding resolution regarding the political consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by a member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, People’s Deputy Yevheniia Kravchuk.

The resolution received 80 votes. In addition to NATO and the “peace formula”, the document condemns the destruction of the Kakhovka dam, confirms that the Russian leadership recklessly threatens nuclear war and uses the occupation of the ZNPP for blackmail, and also calls for the creation of a public register of companies and individuals working in the interests of Russia and involved in circumvention sanctions

Also, among the provisions of the document is the statement that international responsibility should extend to all private military companies, puppets, and allies of Russia, in particular Wagner’s group and Kadyrov’s armed forces.

The PACE will continue to make efforts to create an international compensation mechanism and a Special Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression, as well as to increase sanctions pressure and international isolation of the Russian Federation.

“Another manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine! Another step towards restoring justice!” Kravchuk concluded.
