The United States will provide 18 HIMARS, 150 Armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs), 150 Tactical Vehicles to tow weapons, 40 trucks and 80 trailers to transport heavy equipment, 2 radars for Unmanned Aerial Systems, 20 multi-mission radars, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems and other.
The package is aimed at helping Ukraine secure its longer-term defense needs under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which funds the purchase of weapons and equipment. According to the RadioLiberty, “this means it could take a year or more for Ukraine to get the systems.”
