Russia’s Dnipro missile strike: the death toll has exceeded 20

As of 7:25 a.m. today, Russia’s missile strike on an apartment house in Dnipro on Saturday has already taken 21 lives of civilians and wounded 73 more, UNIAN reported.

The fate of over 40 people remains unknown, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Valentyn Reznichenko. The search and rescue operations are going on.

The State Emergency Service reported that at least one child was killed and 14 injured by the strike. Those 38 who have been rescued so far include six children.

Reznichenko also said that over 40 wounded are in hospitals, including four in a grave state kept in resuscitation units.

On Saturday, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. One of the missiles, a Kh-22 called aircraft carrier killer, hit the nine-story apartment building in Dnipro and completely destroyed one of its sections – a total of 72 apartments. In the building’s other sections, 230 apartments were damaged.
