President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shared positive impressions from the first use of the Norwegian-American NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system in Ukraine, UNIAN reports.
“Yesterday [during the massive missile attack by Russia] there was a lot of positive from the result of our NASAMS. It was their first use – 10 out of 10…,” the president said on the air of the telethon on Wednesday.
Zelensky thanked the states that provided Ukraine with air defense systems, but once again emphasized that this aid is still not enough.
According to Zelensky, there is an agreement on the supply of Hawk systems from Spain, of which “some have already arrived, and some have not.” Negotiations are ongoing with other countries that have Hawk systems, in particular the United States. Also, the provision of air defense systems is being discussed with Germany and Italy. French President Emmanuel Macron assured Zelensky during their last conversation that Ukraine will receive air defense and air defense systems from France.
On Wednesday, a new package of military aid from Sweden was announced, which will include an air defense system.
