In the course of the counteroffensive in the south, Ukrainian forces crossed the line on the right bank of the Dnipro River, liberating almost 200 settlements, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing the deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Oleksiy Hromov.

“In the course of the offensive operation, our troops entered the frontier along the right bank of the Dnipro River, liberated up to 5,580 sq. km of our territory and 198 settlements,” Hromov said during the briefing.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took main logistical routes from Crimea under fire control. These are pathways through which the Russian military received reinforcements, writes Vesti.ua with reference to the press service of the General Staff. According to the General Staff, the Russian military will have to transport shells for a distance of 80-120 km by trucks, which will significantly affect the supply of the coastal group of the Russian Federation.

According to the analysis of British intelligence, following the withdrawal of its forces from west of the Dnipro River, Russian forces continue to prioritize refitting, reorganization and the preparation of defenses across most sectors in Ukraine.

Units have constructed new trench systems near the border of Crimea, as well as near the Siversky-Donets River between Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. It is likely that Russia will attempt to eventually redeployed some of the forces recovered from Kherson to reinforce and expand its offensive operations near the town of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast.
