Ukrainian World Congress condemns terrorist attack in Finland

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) joins the international community in condemning the terrorist attack on 19 August 2017 in Turku, Finland.

The attack claimed the lives of two people and injured eight from various countries.

On behalf of the 20-million strong Ukrainian diaspora, the UWC expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prays for all of the victims of this act of terrorism.

“The Ukrainian World Congress is appalled by this act of terrorism and expresses solidarity with the Finnish people in the wake of this tragedy,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
