The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) fully supports the decision of the European Union to extend economic sanctions against the Russian Federation in defence of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Taking into account the continuing violations by the Russian Federation of the Minsk agreements, on 1 July 2016 the European Union unanimously adopted a resolution to extended economic sanctions for a further six months until 31 January 2017.
“The Ukrainian World Congress fully supports the extension by the European Union of sanctions against the Russian Federation which continues to wage its aggressor acts in Eastern Ukraine and grossly violate the principle of inviolability of borders of an independent state,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
