UWC delegation meets with Ukraine’s president in Kyiv

A delegation from the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), during its official visit to Ukraine marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of independence, met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The sides discussed steps to strengthen support for Ukraine around the world.

“For Ukrainians around the world, it is important that our communities in every country continue to strengthen support for Ukraine. We will continue working with the governments, parliaments, and societies of our countries to ensure that Ukraine receives the support it needs,” said UWC President Paul Grod.

Zelenskyy thanked the UWC for its active work to strengthen Ukraine and help ensure that the Ukrainian voice is heard around the world.

“Thank you to the Ukrainian World Congress for its active work, which strengthens Ukraine and makes sure our voice is heard globally. A lot has been done because many people are working on this, and many voices are speaking out about Ukraine abroad. We are grateful for this,” the president said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed strengthening international support for Ukraine, including air defense assistance, funding, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. Zelenskyy also emphasized the importance of political and informational support for Ukraine.

“Air defense, finances, sanctions – these are key things. But the voice is also very important, of course, as is political and informational support. Every country matters,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, the UWC and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi and UWC President Paul Grod.
