UWC President meets with Ukrainian community in Montreal

On 18 June 2013, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij addressed a community meeting at the Ukrainian Youth Centre in Montreal, Canada.

The UWC President focused on the significance of Ukraine’s Euro-integration in securing Ukraine’s independence, democratization and prosperity.

Eugene Czolij also spoke about the work of the UWC highlighting preparations for the upcoming X World Congress of Ukrainians taking place 20-22 August 2013 in Lviv, Ukraine. The Congress is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-33 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of this genocide and will include commemorative components. Over 250 delegates are expected to participate in sessions that include discussions about Ukraine’s European aspirations, the concept of a global Ukrainian vision and Holodomor.

The UWC extends a special thank you to the Montreal Branches of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress for hosting the evening.
