Fifty Ukrainian warriors, including the defenders of Azovstal, the Snake Island and the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, were freed from Russian captivity on Thursday, Ukrainian Pravda reports with reference to the Telegram channels of the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak and the Verkhovna Rada’s human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets.
“In particular, 20 National Guardsmen, 12 guys from the Navy, 10 soldiers from the Armed Forces, 6 from the Border Guard Service and 2 from Territorial Defense were released. Among them are two officers and 48 privates and sergeants.”
Every one of the freed will receive the necessary medical assistance and will be able to restore all documents and bank cards, as well as undergo rehabilitation.
