In the Year of Global Ukrainian Unity, the Global Ukrainian Summit brought together in Bern over 350 participants and guests from Ukrainian communities, organizations, and institutions in more than 50 countries. Organized by the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), in cooperation with the Ukrainian Society of Switzerland and in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Summit stands as an expression of the shared commitment of the global Ukrainian community to Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the future of the Ukrainian nation.
Above all, the Summit honors the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the security and defense forces, emergency response services, and all those who, risking their lives, defend Ukraine and the Ukrainian people every day. The Summit reaffirms the commitment of the global Ukrainian community to stand united and resolute in support of their objectives, and its unwavering dedication to Ukraine’s democratic development, European future, the rule of law, freedom, and human dignity.
At a time when Ukraine is resisting Russia’s full-scale aggression, defending freedom, European security, and the principles of international law, global Ukrainian community action and unity has become more important than ever.
The Summit confirms the common priorities of Ukrainians worldwide:
- Victory for Ukraine — the achievement of a just and lasting peace which includes restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, reparations for destruction and crimes committed by Russia, and justice for all war crimes.
- Recovery of a strong, secure, and successful Ukraine — an independent state grounded in Ukrainian values, free from Russian influence and its chauvinistic worldview.
- Building a strong Ukrainian world that raises generation after generation of conscious Ukrainian patriots.
The Summit Calls on Ukrainians Worldwide to Act:
- Honor and support Ukraine’s defenders — the Defense Forces of Ukraine, who are fighting for our people’s freedom — through humanitarian support, defense assistance, financial contributions, and moral solidarity.
- Stand up for Ukraine through political participation, advocacy, and information efforts.
- Lead Ukraine’s recovery — not as passive observers, but as active leaders contributing knowledge, experience, skills, and civic leadership to the rebuilding of a new Ukraine.
- Protect and promote Ukrainian identity — our language, culture, education, and national heritage.
- Build strong Ukrainian communities — deepening trust, cooperation, and solidarity across borders; raising generation after generation of conscious patriots.
- Reject division — countering any attempts to weaken international support for Ukraine or fracture the Ukrainian people.
- Raise Ukraine’s global voice — spreading and amplifying the message of the Ukrainian State, the Ukrainian people, and Ukrainian communities around the world.
The Summit emphasizes that Ukrainians around the world are an inseparable part of the Ukrainian people and a vital source of Ukraine’s strength internationally.
Global Ukrainian unity is not symbolic. It is a strategic prerequisite for the success of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Ukraine defines our unity.
Responsibility to the Ukrainian people defines our unity.
National action defines our unity.
United in national action.
For Ukraine. For freedom. For the future.
Glory to Ukraine!
