On 1 May 2015 in Montreal, Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij.
They discussed the plan of action for the UWC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the context of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ukrainian World Congress and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed on 28 August 2014. The main focus was on strengthening common efforts to internationally further the defence of Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, and its expedited Euro-integration. Particular attention was devoted to the means of countering Russian disinformation and the concrete assistance on this front from the UWC and the organized Ukrainian diaspora.
“During this very critical period our most important joint task is to stop the aggression of the Russian Federation and accelerate the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
