British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to Kyiv on the occasion of the anniversary of Ukrainian independence. Mr Johnson announced a GBP 54 million support package for Ukraine, consisting of 2,000 modern drones and loitering munitions. As noted, the package of unmanned air systems will help to improve Ukraine’s long range surveillance and defensive targeting ability.
According to the Pentagon, the new $3 billion US aid package includes 6 NASAMS air defense systems. Ukraine will also receive 250,000 shells for artillery and mortars, Vampire anti-drone systems, RQ-20 Puma reconnaissance drones and counter-battery radars.
