Pentagon announces security assistance up to $1 billion to meet Ukraine’s security and defense needs

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, this is the largest single drawdown from US congressional allocations for arms and equipment. The new package provides a significant amount of additional ammunition, weapons, and equipment.

In particular, the new package includes HIMARS ammo, 155-mm artillery shells, ammunition for NASAMS, 1,000 Javelins, hundreds of AT4 anti-tank systems, 50 armored medical vehicles and more.
