Poland’s deputy prime minister and national defense minister, Mariusz Błaszczak, said Friday he initiated talks on establishing a coalition of countries that will donate tanks and other armored vehicles to Ukraine.
“On my initiative, we talked in a circle of countries that possess Leopard 2A4 tanks to jointly form a coalition of donors of modern armored weaponry for Ukraine,” the minister wrote on Twitter.

The Polish minister does not specify the countries, however, placed behind him during the talks were the national flags of Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Canada, Turkey and Britain.
In a tweet a couple of hours earlier, Błaszczak also reported that donations of modern armored weapons to Ukraine had been the main topic of his phone call with Canadian National Defense Minister Anita Anand.
