In his evening address, President Zelensky spoke of the enemy’s missile strikes on a busy shopping center in Kremenchuk, the need to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and the expectation that a missile defense systems will be provided to Ukraine.
The strike on the shopping center in Kremenchuk is not a mistake, but a calculated Russian missile strike. We currently have 12 dead and 24 wounded as rescue efforts on site continue. The shelling of Northern Saltivka [Kharkiv Oblast] – 5 dead and more than 30 wounded, including 5 children, all civilians, no military.
The Russian state has become the largest terrorist organization in the world. That is a fact. And this must be a legal fact. And everyone in the world should know that buying or transporting Russian oil, maintaining ties with Russian banks, paying taxes and duties to the Russian state is giving money to terrorists.
The resolution on recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism was approved by a committee of the US Senate. The legal decision is up to the State Department.
Ukraine will be provided with modern air defense systems and the G7 countries will support us as much as necessary.
