Season’s greetings from the Armed Forces CinC

Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhny, the commander in chief of the Armed forces of Ukraine, recorded a video to congratulate Ukrainians, both those who fight and those “who pray for, believe in and help the Armed Forces, on the New Year and Christmas:

We did not choose war. But we stood up to fight. And God himself is on our side.

A load of heavy trials, pain and suffering is on our shoulders and the shoulders of our dear ones. This Christmas has the flavor of tears and the color of blood.

But we have enough strength to defeat the enemy.

A Nation is born in struggle.

May the Lord protect you, my dear!

Let our Victory be the beginning of prosperity for Ukraine and the end of russia!

All those who are in the ranks, who now hold our positions. Relatives and friends of our defenders. All who pray for, believe in and help the Armed Forces. Everyone who stands against the world’s evil together with us – Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!
