11-13 September 2015 the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) will be held in Madrid, Spain.
During the three-day meeting delegates to the AGM will review the work of the UWC in 2014-15 and develop an action plan for the future with a specific focus on coordinating the work of Ukrainians around the world in providing support for Ukraine, counteracting Russian disinformation and strengthening the UWC worldwide network. The program will also include a march and rally under the banner “Ukrainians throughout the world together with Ukraine”.
Individuals who made a significant contribution to the popularization of the cultural legacy and commemoration outside Ukraine of Taras Shevchenko will be honored with the UWC commemorative insignia “200 years since the birth of Taras Shevchenko”.
A concert will be devoted to the 70th anniversary of the settlement of Ukrainians in Spain and the 10th anniverary of UWC member organization Ukrainian Community in Spain for the Rights, Honour and Dignity of Ukrainians.
