The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) congratulates the United States Congress on passing Bill H.R.5859 – Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014.
This Bill authorizes defensive military assistance for Ukraine and additional sanctions against the Russian Federation for its aggression against Ukraine.
It is important to note that the Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014 was passed by unanimous consent in both the United States House of Representatives and Senate.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the President of the United States to sign and implement Bill H.R.5859 – Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014, particularly the provisions regarding the supply of defensive arms to help Ukraine deter further Kremlin aggression” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij. “We also call upon all Americans who cherish our universal values to appeal to President Barack Obama to sign this Bill and help restore peace, security and stability in the world.”
