Ukrainian World Congress Condemns Russia’s Threats

On 26 August 2013, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij issued a letter to Elmar Brok, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, welcoming as timely the Committee’s meeting scheduled for 28 August 2013 and condemning Russia’s threats directed at scuttling the anticipated signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement as threats against the sovereignty of Ukraine and the European Union.

In addition, the UWC called upon the European Parliament to condemn Russia’s actions and re-confirm the EU’s commitment to signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement on 28-29 November 2013 in Vilnius.
