On the occasion of the greatest and most sacred of Holy Days – the Resurrection of Jesus Christ – the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) extends sincere greetings to the Hierarchs and clergy of Ukrainian Churches, President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Parliament and Defence Forces of Ukraine, leaders and membership of Ukrainian community organizations in the diaspora within the UWC 53-country network and the entire global Ukrainian community!
On this Holy Day, we all remember the suffering and death of the Son of God and with this celebrate His great Resurrection. The significant event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was testimony to the victory of life over death and goodness over evil, and became the foundation of Christian faith and hope, and the eternal source of inspiration for every Christian.
This year the millions-strong Ukrainian diaspora once again celebrates Christ’s Resurrection at a time when our spiritual homeland continues to suffer from the Russian hybrid war. However, we firmly believe that with every day our joint efforts bring Ukraine’s victory closer together with peace and harmony on its land.
On Easter Sunday, the UWC calls upon the global Ukrainian community to pray to the Son of God, ask for His continued protection of Ukraine, and to remember in our prayers all of the fallen and victims as a result of Russian aggression in Crimea and the Donbas, and those who during this holiday are risking their lives on the Eastern borders of Ukraine.
May the Easter holidays strengthen the unity of our vast Ukrainian family, members of which share common spiritual values and a sense of responsibility for the future of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people!
